1. Use of ferrosilicon particles
iron industry
Ferrosilicon particles are an important alloy additive in the steel industry, mainly used to improve the strength, hardness, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of steel. In the steelmaking process, adding an appropriate amount of ferrosilicon particles can improve the properties of steel and increase the quality and output of steel.
Nonferrous metal industry
Ferrosilicon particles are mainly used in the nonferrous metal industry to produce high-performance alloys such as aluminum alloys, nickel alloys, and titanium alloys. In these alloys, ferrosilicon particles can improve strength, hardness, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and can also lower the melting point of the alloy to facilitate processing.
Chemical industry
Ferrosilicon particles are also an important raw material in the chemical industry and are mainly used to produce silicone, silicate and other compounds. These compounds have excellent physical and chemical properties, such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, good insulation, etc., and are widely used in rubber, ceramics, glass and other fields.
2. Specifications of ferrosilicon granules
The specifications of ferrosilicon particles vary depending on the application field and manufacturing process. Generally speaking, the chemical composition of ferrosilicon particles mainly includes silicon and iron elements, of which the silicon content is between 70% and 90%, and the rest is iron. In addition, according to different needs, appropriate amounts of other elements, such as carbon, phosphorus, etc., can also be added.
The physical forms of ferrosilicon particles are also different, mainly divided into two types: granular and powdery. Among them, granular ferrosilicon particles are mainly used in the steel and non-ferrous metal industries, while powdered ferrosilicon particles are mainly used in the chemical industry.
Anyang Zhaojin ferroalloy ferrosilicon grain specifications and sizes are as follows:
Ferrosilicon grains: 1-3mm ferrosilicon grains, 3-8mm ferrosilicon grains, 8-15mm ferrosilicon grains;
Ferrosilicon powder: 0.2mm ferrosilicon powder, 60 mesh ferrosilicon powder, 200 mesh ferrosilicon powder, 320 mesh ferrosilicon powder.
The above are conventional particle sizes. Of course, customized production and processing can also be carried out according to customer requirements.

3. Production and processing of ferrosilicon granules
The production and processing of ferrosilicon granules mainly includes smelting, continuous casting, crushing, screening, packaging and other links. Specifically, the production process is as follows:
1. Smelting: Use electric furnace or blast furnace smelting method to melt ferrosilicon alloy into liquid state, and control its chemical composition and temperature.
2. Continuous casting: Pour the molten ferrosilicon alloy into the continuous casting machine, and form ferrosilicon particles of a certain shape and size through cooling and crystallization.
3. Crushing: Large pieces of ferrosilicon particles need to be broken into small pieces or granules.
4. Screening: Separate ferrosilicon particles of different sizes through screening equipment to meet the needs of different users.
5. Packaging: Pack the screened ferrosilicon particles to protect their quality and hygiene.
4. Application prospects of ferrosilicon particles
Ferrosilicon particles are an important industrial raw material and are widely used in steel, nonferrous metals, chemical industry and other fields. It has the function of improving material strength, hardness, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and is of great significance for improving product quality and increasing production efficiency. In the future, with the continuous development of science and technology, the application fields of ferrosilicon particles will be more extensive, and its production and processing technology will also be continuously upgraded and improved.
