2.APPLY
Used as an alloying element in the production of magnesium alloys, as a component of aluminium alloys in die casting, for desulphurisation in steel production and as a raw material for the production of titanium by the Kroll method.
* As an additive in conventional propellants and in the production of spherical graphite in cast iron.
* As a reducing agent in the production of uranium and other metals from salt.
* As sacrificial (corrosion) anodes to protect underground storage tanks, pipelines, buried structures and water heaters.
