The process of metal silicon smelting mainly includes the following steps

Preparation of charge materials:silica treatment,silica is broken in the jaw crusher to a lumpiness of no more than 100mm, screened out fragments less than 5mm, and washed with water to remove impurities and powder on the surface and improve the permeability of the charge.

Calculation of ingredients:according to the grade and production requirements of silicon metal, the proportion and dosage of silica, reducing agent and other raw materials are calculated.

Feeding:the prepared charge is added to the electric furnace through the hopper and other equipment.

Power distribution: to provide stable power to the electric furnace, control the temperature and current parameters in the electric furnace.

Ramming furnace: In the smelting process, the charge in the furnace is regularly rammed to ensure the close contact of the charge and good electrical conductivity.

Drowing:when the metal silicon in the furnace reaches a certain purity and temperature, the liquid silicon water is released through the iron outlet.​

Refining: For metallic silicon with high purity requirements, refining treatment is required to remove impurities. Refining methods include chemical refining, physical refining, etc., such as chemical refining by using oxidizing agents such as chlorine gas, or refining by physical methods such as vacuum distillation.

Casting: The refined liquid silicon water is cooled through the casting system (such as cast iron mold, etc.) to form metal silicon ingot.

Crushing: After the metal silicon ingot is cooled and formed, it needs to be broken to obtain the metal silicon product with the required particle size. Crushing process can use crusher and other equipment.

Packaging: After the broken metal silicon products have passed the inspection, they are packaged, usually using tons of bags and other packaging methods.
